General rules for ALL Tortuga:

Tortuga is a nudist community and resort, not an ordinary sex sim. We expect good conduct from all while at Tortuga. The same conduct used throughout Secondlife. We believe every SL resident should be familiar with Linden TOS, Linden Ageplay Rules, Linden Community Standards and SL-Etiquette as something every SL resident should already know. Also this SL-Etiquette slideshow, that is linked on the official SL Etiquette page, is part of our rules.
Too much to read? Simply use common sense, civility and respect others is all that is needed when visiting Tortuga. Community minded people and individuals who like activities such as sailing or surfing while not disturbing others are welcome in Tortuga.
Actions that get you arrested or kicked from a club in RL will earn a ban in Tortuga. Actions that anger other people, you will soon get the attention of a manager.

Landing in the sim:

  • Make sure that you are naked and all is rezzed and you don’t bump into people on the dancefloor.

Using Vehicles in Tortuga

  • Tortuga is designed boats up to 15 m length, 7 m width and 3.8 m height of the main body of the ship (means masts etc. that are higher are ok, it is about blocking the panorama) and max 150 prims for group members and 33 for non-group members. These boats are allowed in the standard boat slips of Tortuga. Some few boatslips are built for wider, then wider than 7 m is allowed (house boats) but not longer than 15 m. Boats up to 25 m are allowed on private islands, as long as they are parked in a way that does not block waterways, or temporally rezzed for cruising, however. But keep in mind, we won't take complaints if you can't cross in certain places with oversized boats, the tight places are designed for the 15x7x3.8 boats (and phantom masts / antennas etc. if they are higher than 3.8 m) Especially Passoa, the Tortuga channel and the tunnel between Endless Dreams and Tavana can cause problems for bigger ships.
  • Help us to keep Tortuga nice, use vehicles that are nice to look at.
  • Small not too noisy helicopters, balloons and gliders are ok, but Tortuga is no aircraft sim, so don't exaggerate. Also small submarines are fine.
  • Important is that you and your vehicle don't disturb others.
  • No parking of boats in the Tortuga main sim, people relax here and want to enjoy the panorama. Crossing through teh channel in Tortuga is allowed.

Rentals

  • While we really depend on our generous members who rent in our sims, who we want to thank here, we must insist on some rules to keep the spirit of the community of Tortuga up:
  • As by the vote of the community, Tortuga is a Nudist resort, so we expect you to be nude at all times. As privacy is in high regard in Tortuga, nobody will spy inside your house, so changing clothes in a CLOSED house, where you are not visible for people outside is tolerated.
  • We carefully compose the looks and themes of our sims to have them as beautiful as possible for your boat turns. So please don't put items that are too gaudy, weird, noisy or with hovertext around your house. A Caribbean towel in vivid colors is fine, in other words use common sense, stay in the beach theme. What is not visible ot other wise detectable from outside, in your house, is at your discreetion. Means if you want a non beachy Darth Vader statue in your home, that is fine by us.
  • Respect your neighbours, don't disturb them in their homes, also refrain from camming their privacy. If you have items out that disturb neighbours, like noisy and similar, we reserve the right to return them. We are not mean, keep in mind your neighbours have also a right to enjoy tortuga undisturbed.
  • Don't build extradocks or other extensions to your rental that block the waterways, other people want to boat too. in doubt ask for support so we find an agreeable solution if you need more space.
  • Stay in your prim limit or ask for prim upgrades. Your neighbours want also to rez things and the people boating will thank you if they don't get a "the sim is full"- message on crossing the sim border.
  • No scripted pets, especially no breedables in the sims or other heavily scripted items.
  • Anything that ruins the boating fun of the community is not allowed in the rentals, especially no securities.

PS: It really needs a lot to get banned here = breaking several rules and being a pest for everyone else. However, we don't pay refunds to rulebreakers.
